"Church without walls" kind of heartened me and disheartened me at the same time.

Sometimes I wonder if I should become a member of the Church of Scotland, with a view to trying to change its direction. But I suspect several million layers of bureaucracy would get in the way. But maybe I won't know unless I try to get involved.
